-
Prior to going for Hajj or Umrah, please read as many books as one
can. However, if you need to know more, please do contact us and we
will endeavour to assist you.
-
You must take Meningitis
Injections
- Once you have booked your Hajj or Umrah package
with Islam Freedom, we seek your permission to give your mobile
numbers to other pilgrims so that if one needs to, others pilgrim
can contact you. It is quite important to have some contact prior to
the departure. This is only if one wants to. We are here to guide
you, however, if you wish not to, this is entirely your choice.
- Please ensure when you are at the airport, stay
at one place until an agent from Islam Freedom arrives and all the
pilgrims are together to avoid inconvenience. Plus all the pilgrims
would be introduced in order to familiarise themselves. We will
advise you of a designated meeting area at the airport prior to your
flight date.
- As all airlines have
different facilities, it is advisable to wear your ihram from home
or one can wear in the airport or plane before entering Meeqat.
Please read the following brief notes:
Wearing Ihram - Before wearing the ihram, it is sunnah to trim
one's nails, remove unwanted hair and make ghusl. If ghusl is not
possible then wudu will be sufficient. Wearing of ihram should be
done before entering meeqat. One piece of ihram is tied around the
waist and the other thrown over the shoulders. Underwear, head
covering (for males), shoes, socks are not permitted. Beach thongs
or similar footwear that do not cover the arch of the foot (above
the toes) and ankles are permissible. After wearing the ihram,
perform two rakaat sunnatul ihram. In the first rakaah read: Surah
Kafiroon In the second rakaah read Surah Ikhlaas. After the
completion of this salah, make the niyyah (intention) of Umrah, and
recite the talbiyah thrice (Loudly for males, and softly for
females).
- When you arrive in Jeddah, after the Passport
control, please wait for all the group to be together so that
everyone goes out together.
- Please ensure that you have all your passport and
other paperwork before leaving the airport. If you submitted your
passport very late for visa, then ask Islam Freedom representative
to give your passport etc at the airport.
- Your journey from Jeddah airport to the hotel
Insha-allah would be a pleasant journey. We will offer you some
refreshments. Please make sure that all your luggage is on the
transport. Please show some patience as sometimes things may not
seem as they should be. Please recite Darood and other duaain all
the way to your hotel.
- When you have your room
bookings at your destination, make sure that all the group exchange
their room numbers amongst the groups/pilgrims in order that if
someone wants to get in touch, it would be easier to do so.
- If you are able to,
please purchase a Saudi Sim as the rooming in Saudi Arabia is quite
expensive. The cost of a Saudi Sim is approximately 20 Riyals.
Please give each other your new Sim number. This would be convenient
should someone wish to keep in touch with the other pilgrims.
- British Airways and
Saudi Airlines only allow one 10 ltr bottle of Zam zam per person
and that should be properly wrapped. Insha-allah Islam Freedom will
arrange this for you at a nominal cost. Current cost for a 10ltr
wrapped bottle is 20 Riyals.
- It is advisable to
take your own electric kettle, cups etc and refreshments products.
However, there are loads of shopping malls there to accommodate your
dietary requirements and it is quite easy to buy food from there.
-
Ajwa Dates starts from 50 Riyal to 120 Riyals, should you wish to
purchase these dates. Other varieties are also available. You can
buy these from Makkah Mukarama or Madinah Munawara.
-
The Ziyarats are included with your package. However if you wish to
arrange your own Ziyarats, the cost starts from 40 Riyal to 100
Riyals per taxi.
-
When you are going to perform Umrah, you catch a bus for 2 Riyal one
way to Hazarat Aiyesha Sadiqa’s Mosque to read 2 Nafals for Umrah so
you pay 4 Riyal, going and coming back. Taxi charge 30 to 40 Riyal
for a return trip but buses are quite frequent and the service is
excellent.
-
It is also advisable to have shoes bags so that no one takes your
shoes. There are ample shoes racks inside the mosque to put your
shoes. One can take their shoes bags with them too.
-
It is not advisable to take your mobile with you when you enter
Masij Nawbi as you will be searched and you will not be allowed to
take your mobile inside. Also please ensure that our sisters take a
see threw bags so that when being searched, one doesn’t waste time.
-
When checking out the hotel, please make sure that you check out on
time and you are gathered at your designated area to avoid wastage
of time.
-
